TREVISA

JOHN of (1326-1412).-Translator, a Cornishman, _ed._ at Oxf., was Vicar of Berkeley, Gloucestershire, and chaplain to the 4th Lord Berkeley, and Canon of Westbury. He translated for his patron the _Polychronicon_ of Ranulf Higden, adding remarks of his own, and prefacing it with a _Dialogue on Translation between a Lord and a Clerk_. He likewise made various other translations.
