CHARLES, LORD (1800-1876).-Miscellaneous author, _b._ and _ed._ in Edinburgh, was called to the Bar, and became a judge. He was a frequent contributor to _Blackwood's Magazine_. His verses, witty and satirical, were _coll._ as _Songs and Verses, Social and Scientific_. He wrote also on philology, and _pub._ a book on the Greek Anthology.
